Q. Who is Pastor George Saad?

A. Pastor George Saad is the founder and pastor of the Rock Eternal church. For more information, please refer to the Pastor’s biography in the “About us” section of the website.

Q. What is the primary purpose of the Rock Eternal Church?

A. The purpose of our church cannot be simply put in two words. This is why we would like to encourage you to browse through our website, where we are sure the answer would be much clearer. But to make a long story short (as an answer to your question), our main purpose is to see the Kingdom of God invade Lebanon, the Middle East, and the world, by saying nations coming back to Christ Jesus, the savior.

Q. Do you believe in tithes and offerings?

A. We sure do! Because our members are devoted to God and to living out His word, they are also faithful in their financial responsibilities to His church. That's why we have been so blessed! We do not pressure people to give or to do anything else the Bible commands. The best encouragement is to lead by example.

Q. What does it mean to be born again?

A. God has given a very clear and understandable plan for accepting Jesus as the Savior of your life, so all your sins can be taken away and you can live in heaven with Him forever. That, in a sentence, is what it means to be born again.

Q. I've done many horrible things. It is said that Jesus can save anyone. Does that include me?

A. If the bible says it includes anyone, then it definitely includes you. Through the centuries, often the worst, most guilty sinners become the most wonderful, guilt-free believers. The apostle Paul, inspired by the Holy Spirit, wrote much of the New Testament. But at one time he was a hated persecutor of Christians, even overseeing their deaths. After giving his life to Christ, Paul wrote, “This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief” (1 Timothy 1:15). Yes, Jesus can save and change anyone.

Q. Are your services in Arabic or English?

A. The services are generally in Arabic. However, when foreign pastors come to our church to minister, the sermon is spoken in a foreign language however translated live to Arabic.

Q. Can I bring my children to church? Are there any services for them?

A. Definitely! We are a kid friendly church providing age specific Sunday school programs before each general meeting as well as activities during the church meeting. Parents can drop off their children an hour and a half before the start of each service. If you are new and your child is shy, you can keep them in the meeting next to you until they meet other kids and start going to their age group meetings.
